1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using StoryLish, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not download or use our application.

2. Description of Service

StoryLish is a mobile English language learning application that teaches through graded short stories. The app provides features including:

• Short stories graded from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Mastery) level
• In-context vocabulary look-up and saving
• Native-speaker audio narration for each story
• Comprehension quizzes and exercises
• Daily reading streaks and progress tracking
• Cultural context notes to aid understanding

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use StoryLish only for personal, non-commercial, and lawful purposes. You must not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or resell any story content from the app
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the application
• Use the app in any way that could damage or impair its functionality

4. No Data Collection

StoryLish does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All reading progress, saved vocabulary, quiz results, and settings are stored locally on your device only. No account creation or personal information is required to use the app.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

All content within StoryLish — including but not limited to stories, illustrations, audio narrations, quiz content, vocabulary definitions, and software code — is the exclusive intellectual property of StoryLish and its licensors. This content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content solely within the app for personal learning purposes.

6. In-App Purchases & Advertising

StoryLish may offer optional in-app purchases to unlock premium stories or remove advertisements. All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Advertising within the app is provided by third-party networks; we are not responsible for third-party ad content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

StoryLish is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StoryLish and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the application, including any loss of data or learning progress stored locally on your device.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the application at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
